W. Rajaie (b. 1997, Kuala Lumpur) is an emerging artist known for working with crude materials such as soil, sand, and tar. He received his Diploma, Degree, and Master’ in Fine Art from MARA University of Technology. As an artist, he is a material thinker who enjoys exploring the full qualities of a material, which he prioritises before subject in art-making. Outside of art, he is also sought after for his technical versatility in handling different materials, including textiles, and in the past he has worked with Vans Malaysia, Tarik Jeans, and Kuala Lumpur Ceria.
