Alvin Lau (b. 1994, Kuala Lumpur) is a photographer born, raised, and currently active in Kuala Lumpur. Alvin has been photograph- ing the city of Kuala Lumpur for over a decade, traversing its streets by long journeys on leg, bicycle, train, and bus. Initially approaching photography from a documentary angle, he now attempts to capture the unique moods and atmos- pheres of Kuala Lumpur, condensing narratives into images redolent of dreams and psychedelia. Alvin’s works have been exhibited at the Jeonju International Photo Festival, South Korea; the Landskrona Foto Festival, Sweden; and ILHAM Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.
